Hi All: I spoke to an IIO at the VSC about 30 minutes back. My main purpose for the call was to ensure that my address on the application was correct. Of course, I also wanted to find out if there was any good news for me. Well it turned out that a RFE was issued today. As usual, the IIO did not tell me what it was for. She said that my lawyer would receive the same early next week. This will be my first RFE and in a way I was happy because I know now that they are at least processing my case. Anyone have any ideas what the RFE might be for?

I am not sure if the tracker we have keeps track of this, but yes, please update the same for my information. For some reason, my name is listed twice in the tacker undere "ajaysm" & "ajaym" respectively.

90% of RFE\'s are very generic. Infact I red somewhere on this board that VSC is issueing RFE\'s for applications that are >365 days old.
But good news is that they are asking for Past year/years W2, EMP Letter, Paychecks.
If I were you I would expect the same if every thing else on your file is complete!

Yes, it is true they ask for Past year/years W2, EMP Letter, Paychecks. This has become routine nowadays. Once you replied, you will be approved within a month!

Well, I sincerely hope that my application is complete. I do remember, that I had attached a copies of returns filed for the past two years along with the application. I just hope and pray that it is one of the generic RFE\'s.

Funny thing is that the AVM still plays the old message "Your I-485 application to adjust to PR was received blah blah..."
Do they change that to reflect that a RFE has been sent out?

Yes AVM will get updated. It will take atleast a week to get your RFE in Mail. After you replied to the RFE with in a matter of week/2 U will get the approval.

My ref ask for:

1. two years\' tax return (fedal)
2. all the related forms, like : 2441, etc
3. two years\' W-2
4. two year\'s I099
5. of course, employer letter
