IGaters: Talked to IIO, little confused

Just now talked to IIO. They have received my Ammended I140 application but it has not been linked to 485 application. He said it will be linked once it has been reviewed and neither me or employer has to do anything. So my application remains to be on hold.

Any idea how long this may take????

One of my colleague(from IGTE) got approval on MAY 24, he checked with IIO. his REDO 140 was filed approx. in Mid April, and it got approved on MAY 24 and same day they approved his 485. he did not do anything, INS linked it automatically. So it looks like it takes approx from 1.3 to 2.0 months

Here is my experience with the process... I called in 2 weeks ago to link my I-140 and I-485 applicaions. Last week, when I called to check that this had been done, I was told that there was no hold on my I-485 anymore!! My I-140 was filed on 4/16/01 and IGTE seems to have received the receipt on 5/18/01. I am still to see the receipt for myself (seeing is believing!!!).

Hang in there, your application will also have its hold removed pretty soon!!
