IGATE: Called VSC IIO Today...

I was told by an (not very frinedly) male IIO that my application is still pending and he asked me to check back the status after 30 days. No word on \'Hold\' thing due to company name change issue! However in last two calls to IIO, I was told that my app is on hold and they were waiting for instructions from HQtr.
BTW, The IIO also told me \'\'Call your attorney first..before calling back".
DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THAT MEAN?
????????
One more thing: I was told by him and himself that I last called him on June 7th.

Call Details:
1) 15-Jan-01:
Called IIO to find out when my FP notice would be sent. Was informed that I should get it in 30 days. If not then call back.
2) 20-May-01:
Called IIO to find out whether they recieved response to RFE or not. They said \'Yes\' but app on hold due to \'Company Name Change\'.
3) 07-Jun-01:
Called IIO to check back the status. They said still on hold due to \'Company Name Change\'.
4) 28-Jun-01:
Called IIO to check back the status. details mentioned as mentioned in first paragraph above.

I think they are all pretty irritated.I do not understand why they have information glued to their post.May be Irritation will be best.

Hi,
My case is exactly like you. Also when I called the IIO last week , he said the same thing. You will hear something with 30 - 60 days. If not contact your attorney first then call VSC.

Looks like I am the lucky one. I called VSC on 6/18,6/21 and this morning 6/28. I always got the info. what I asked for and all the IIO\'s I talked with are good. By seeing your post, my sixth sense tells me to keep my mouth shut atleast for the next 2 weeks time period and hope I will get my GC by that time so that I don\'t have
to call them again.

I also happened to talk to the same male. No word on "hold or not" and refer to attorney left and right. Last time when I talked to them, and they mentioned attorney, it was a query on I 140. But this time, he does it across the board.

vijay007, The fact that he told u to check back after 30 days means ur case is with some officer and not lying in a cupboard. That is a good news. Good luck.
