If you are in India and 485 got approved!! Please post...

Hi all,
I am plannig to go to India next week and I called the IIO last couple of weeks back and she said my case is with an officer, and It mught take 3-4 weeks(MY ND:jan 25, 2001) and till last night it is not yet approved. What if the case got approved while I am in India,can I go for stamping after I come from India. will they track the 485 approvals at entry points? I am travelling on AP and EAD. Please post your replys soon....

Hi,
  I raised same kind of question with my lawyer for the secondary applicant(my wife).
  My lawyer said that as long as you have your AP valid you can go out and come in. If your case is approved while your are out side of US it should not be a problem.
  Yes they can find out that your case status at the port of entry.

Thanks for the reply, I confirmed with my lawyer too. It is ok to travel with AP and if approval comes in while you are in INdia ,you can request the lawer to mail the approval notice and while entering back to US, if you shw the approval notice they will stamp at port of entry.
