IF this actually gets through. We will never see our GC’s. God help us.

With the already burdened BCIS if they push through with legalizing illegals we can kiss seeing our GC’s forever. BCIS will be working on that and I-485’s will remain on the back burner for ever.

Secretary of State Says U.S. Wants Movement on Immigration Issues with Mexico
· Powell has recently started sending out messages to the reporters that the U.S. wants to move ahead the regularization of Mexican immigration, which obviously refers to guest worker program from Mexico and amnesty of illegal aliens who are already living here. Can we take this as an overture of the Administration's real plan to move ahead or just political bluff? You'd be the judge of it. Read on.

i raised the same issue in an earlier mail

which people mis understood. I very well understand and agree with your sentiments.
This has happened last year to when our 140s etc were held back to process scores of illegal. sometimes i feel it is better to be illegal to get your gc faster

The poltical powers seem to think that illegal unskilled immigrants are more valuable than legal skilled immigrants. :(

w8nc,

The unskilled immigrants will never pose any threat to the citizens in job market. So naturally, the normal people will not like the well qualified outsiders.

LETS NOT BE SELFISH

I understand the concern of those of you in regards to the legalization of the mexican into the US and those that have been illegal here for a while; but lets not forget that wa are all looking for the opportunity......i have been under INS procedure since 1995 so some of you just got here and iam not saying or advocating to my congressman or congresswoman that not to allwo people that apply for the I 140 be legalize before me, that would be selfish of me to think that way. you all also need to think that you all just got here eiter by a company that brought you for x or y reason think you are still here wanting a peice of the pie. you all need to be pation and let democracy, beaurocracy and politics takes its course. the reality is not whether those mexican all illegal immigrants get an ammnesty the reality is that BICS need to have the man power force to handle the volume and make adjudication a one year process. like it used to be years ago. as i have reserch the history of immigration in the past it only took and immigrant 90 days to get their greencard. what we need to advocate is for a time frame that would be no longer than 400 days for adjudication that wold be including ap ead i 130 etc..........

now lets not be selfish....we all want a peice of the pie. besides if the US senate wants to give an amnesty there is nothing we can do it would be as congress pleases.:p

:D

Hi DallaBoyCentral,

Agree with you somewhat on the piece of the pie issue, but about advocating for a resonable time, isn't that what Bush said before. Any application should not take more than 6 months. It's been more than a year and I don't see that happening any time soon.

We have all done the math and know that it should not be resource issue, since TSC makes more money than they need to get the additional work force they need. The real issue is the attitude of the people in the higher level. As long as these people have the anti immigration mentality, the situation will not improve.

Sad but true fact is, it does not matter how much these people say that they want good educated people to immigrate, they really want the dumb stupid folks so that they can always stay in power and control of things.

here's one conspiracy theory: its all about the taxes.

Its better to have illegal immigrants working in the US legalized so that the govt can collect taxes from them..

Those attempting to get in legally are already being taxed.. so there's no incentive to assigning meagre resources to adjust the status of these people..

Probably explains why EADs are so prompt, and legalizing the illegals is higher priority than doing adjustments for the EB based applicants.

There is a difference between people who have come here on an invitation by means of proper visas, pay taxes and highly qualified in their fields. And people who have jumped fences, pay no taxes and are a burden on the school, medical and other fields.
Pie and all are fine it is a question of respecting the laws and rewarding or following the law. by legalizing the illegal immigrants you are showing ways to more and more people follow that route..that of undocumented workers.
Many of these people like those who came in truck recently to texas are here through breaking various laws and treating them on par with h1b l1 or research scholars is baloney:confused:
