If the OCI is Acknowlegded, does it mean SC has been granted?

Hi,

If you apply for SC and OCI together and when the OCI application is Acknowledged:

1. Does it mean that the SC application has gone thru?
2. and there are no issues with the SC application ?
3. and SC has been granted?
4. If it means SC is granted, does the indian passport and SC comes immedialtly or it waits for the OCI process to complete?

The OCI Online enquiry forms says that
Ordinarily, OCI Registration Certificate and Visa are available for delivery within 30 days from the date of acknowledgment. If there are any objections regarding Photographs/Signature/Thumb impression etc,the same should be cleared by the applicant by sending another copy of the document(s) to the concerned Mission/Office.

5. What are the experiences of others that this statement is correct
6. and does it mean that I will get my OCI process completed in 30 days once my OCI application is acknowledged?

I think from what I have read thru other posts your SC is definitely issued once your OCI status has reached to "Granted" state. Because OCI cannot be granted until SC is on your OCI file.

But I think this is just a derived time from OCI processing rules. AFAIK I have seen few applicants in the past who received their SC in mail within 2 weeks from the date their OCI was acknowledged. But recently I have not seen any applicants receiving their SC in mail separately even though separate mail charges are given in your package.

I have got my OCI acknowledged but so far not received SC in mail, and planning to visit embassy this week.
