If some body is maintaining H1 and use AP to enter the country will that have any eff

My I-485 is pending and my H1's six years will be up by July-2004.
I will apply for 7th year extention pretty soon.

***1***My question is that after applying the H1, lets say if I wana go to overseas while the application is pending Can I use my current H1 that is valid till July-2004
