If lc denied after 7th yr h1 extn approval

What happens if the lc gets denied permanently in DOL after h1 7th year extension has been approved?

Does the person have to leave within a certain period of time? Or h1 extension is valid inspite of the LC denial.

There are no clear regulations on this but my *guess* is that the extended H1b continues to be valid until it's expiration and does not get invalidated if the underlying LC is denied. I think BCIS looks at whether LC was pending only at the time of application. This is my personal, not professional opinion.
