If J1 serves 2 yrs HRR, does J2 have to?

Hi-

If a J1 sevres the 2 years of HRR, does the J2 have to serve the 2 years? What about if the J2 divorces the J1 after the 2 years are served?

J2 don't need to serve. J2 can stay legally in the US (using some other visa, of course) while J1 returns the home country.
Divorce may not help J2 in terms of J1 waiver.
