If I'm a US citizen

My mom's visa got rejected. I am married to a US citizen and would become citizen myself pretty soon.

After I become a citizen of USA,

1) Will it be easier for my mom to get visitor visa?
2) Approximately how long will it take to make my mother an immigrant?

Thanks.

Hi

Actually it is easier to take ur mom to the US as a visitor if you intend to take her as soon as possible and better before you attain ur citizenship. Once you become a citizen and presumingly ur mom is a widow, then the intension of non-immigrant visa may not hold good, because you will become eligible to file for an immigrant visa for her.

But the immigrant visa I think would take more than 5 - 7 years sometimes even longer.

Have a nice day!
