If I485 is in appeal, ...?

If I485 is in motion reopen, motion reconsider or appeal, is EAD still valid? Is EAD still renewable?

Hi,
I heard from people in this forum that it is not valid EAD if 485 is denied.
Also I heard that if you appeal, it could stay valid.
my wife stopped working as she was using EAD.
pl. let me know what happened to your case.
mixed reactions and confusing.
