Hi,

If I have done job after moving out of US on Rentry Permit, will it devalidate my Greencard and will there be problem if when I go back to US within a period of the re-entry permit?

Is there anybody who has moved out of US after getting GC and done job outside on Re-entry permit and then tried to go back to US?

Pl. share your experience.

Thanks in Adv.

There shouldn't be any problems, as long as you filed US tax returns and declared the income from that job.

Looks like we will have to pay tax to our home country and also to US if we leave US and work outside US.

This is too much, we will be loosing a lot. I don't understand why we have to pay taxes to two countries.

The US has tax treaties with most countries to avoid double taxation.
So, in most cases you won't pay taxes in the US on foreign income. It has to be declared nonetheless.

This makes sense. Does US have such a treaty with India?

JoeF is right. USA has a tax treaty with India. You will need to file a tax return in India for the income you have earned there and when you file your US tax return you will have to attach a copy of that, and you can claim the credit for taxes you have already paid in India. Your CPA will knoe that.
