If I donot find any job, will it effect my GC.

Me and my wife we both applied I-485 about 12 months ago, my wife is direct beneficiary and I applied as derivative.I also applied EAD, I am on H1B, I got the info form my present employer that next week I will be laid off. My question is that since I applied AOS as derivative at this point do I have to maintain H1 status, I know I can work on EAD, but in worst case If I donot find any job, will it effect my GC.
 
As long as your wife (primary beneficary) holds her job you should be fine.

It is good that you can maintain your H1 status. I would recommend you not use your EAD right away and instead ask your new employer to sponsor your H1. which in case of unforseen situations will come in hand.
