If I-94 expires and AOS filed

Hi,

If a person\'s I-94 card is expired and he has filed AOS. Later if his AOS is rejected for example, will he go out of status? as I-94 doesn\'t reflect AOS pending or anything like that while going out of country(since it was issued on H1b entry)

AOS rejection

unless you were on H-1, but in that case, you\'d have a valid I-94 which doesn\'t seem to be your case, so if AOS is rejected, you are out of status.
