If dependent(H4) uses EAD, does primary applicant needs to switch to EAD as well or Primary can stii

Based on the original question if both (Primary and dependant) want to travel outside US, do they have to use AP or the primary (H1 holder) has to travel on visa stamp and dependant (H4 holder) has to travel on AP. I would appreciate your response. Thanks.

I am not sure...

I think the H1 holder can enter the States if he has the visa stamp on his passport. As for wife, I believe she will use the AP since she is no longer a H4 holder (if she uses the EAD.) But using AP to enter the States doesn\'t mean you will lose your H status. (I believe Attorney Murthy has discussed it before in her chat room.)
