if case assigned to IIS officer, will the AVM chagne to assigned?

I don\'t think so

You\'ve to speak with an IIO and he/she will tell you if it\'s assigned to an officer
 
Depends on the officer

It depends if the officer uses the system to enter the status. AVM does not change for everyone in a consitent manner. Most of the people never get "Assigned to officer" message. They transition from "FP recv and processing resumed" to "Approved".
