IELTS necessary?

Hi Guys,

Is IELTS necessary? Anyone can give me some idea about what format the language provement letter should be. I got a master degree here in US and worked as H-1B for more than 4 years. Is this good enough for not providing IELTS?
Also when should I turn in the medical exam result and FP? Me and my wife are applying seperately, then do I need to include her documents in my aplication?

IELTS has its own merits (some people say, they will waive the personal interview and all, if you have given IELTS score) Since you have done MS, you probably have done TOEFL. It is a similar test. Why can't you give it?

About the application, Any reason why you are applying separately? If you are doing so, I don't see any reason you need to include your wife in your application. Wait for some one else answer your question.

I took TOEFL and GRE 7 years ago, both are expired. Do you think it will still be useful to include them? Me and my wife has different schedules and both of us are qualify individually. No advantage of applying seperately.

I dont see the point in putting two applications. I am not sure that you can even do that as you can not have 2 simultaneous Canadian immigration application (both of you will be the dependent in the other's application). Therefore I suggest you consult a professional before sending your application.

What I suggest is that see who gets more points between you and your wife. The person who gets more points should be the principal applicant.

IELTS is the only sure shot way to get the max points in English. Dont make the immigration officer handling your case guess about your english proficiency based on the documents you provide. By the way you dont have to submit IELTS score with your initial application.
 
Don't submit TOEFL. Since my application came back the first time saying TOEFL is not an authorized for Canadian Immigration. If you are not providing IELTS, don't submit anything else.
