IELTS a sure requirement??

Hi friends,

For Canada PR, is IELTS a sure requirement or has anyone tried the other way that's suggested on the form. It says you either need to take IELTS or submit educational documents printed in English or French and write a letter stating your proficiency in English/French.

I am almost ready with my application except that I am not sure if I should take the IELTS or just send the reqd docs.

Please share your experiences in this regard.

I applied without the ILET and wrote wavier letter. They wavied me ILET. So, it depends on couple of factors like
1. How long you living in english or french speaking country
2. Education
3. Work Experince
4. Brand name of companies you worked for etc
