desi ladka. this is what I plan to carry
1. copy of i-485 receipt
2. copy of i-765 receipt
3. my passport with I-94
4. current EAD card.
Is there anything else that I need to have with me. Can you explain what the process is like for that 2.5 hours.
1) Wait in the line of around 40-50 people outside the building. But it goes fast.
2) Security check.
3) Entry point--they will check if you have appointment and then let you in.
4) stand in another line which had around 8-10 people.
5) approached the window. Check my documents and gave me a Token and ask to wait for the token number to be called.
6) Token number was called just around 15 minutes.
7) went to the announced window. Submitted the documents.
8) after around 1 - 1 1/2 hour officer came to the window and announced my name.
9) went to the window and he asked for my passport. Looked at my passport for around 15-20sec. Told me that your EAD is approved. Asked him how long it should take and he said around 30 min.
10) Some girl came on the window and announce my name. She took me in for photograph and finger print of my index finger.
11) Asked to wait outside.
12) Withink another 5 min, got the IEAD card.
Let me know if you have any more questions. Will be glad to help.
