iEAD question-Gurus please HELP!!

I have applied for EAD in Jan03 and somehow my receipt was lost in mail.My questions are:

1.When I go for iEAD in April, can I show void check with receipt number(not so legible) ang get iEAD?

2.Can I apply for EAD again now to just get a receipt this time?Is it OK to have 2 EAD applications filed?

My current EAD expires in May.

Did you call INS? what did they say? try calling your local INS to find out the answer.

or may be your lawyer. Sorry couldn't help much

May be you'll get your 485 approved before that :-)

More info

I called INS and they said they can't send receipt again. They also said I can try with void check but the IIO was not sure. I asked Shiela Murthy. She also said the same thing. Basically my question is should I wait and try my luck after 90 days or apply for another EAD now(I don't mind spending) and get another receipt?
My EAD is expiring in less than 90 days from now.
 
I'd suggest you call the Local INS before you even go there or may be go there and ask them before you actually go for the iEAD. I'm not sure if you can apply for renewal again for the same A#. Did you ask Sheela Murthy about this? whether you can apply again?
