My wife got iEAD twice in Las Vegas. You will have to go once with necessary documents. Once they agree to issue you an iEAD, you will be given an apointment to appear one week later at 7:00am to take photograph and issue iEAD.

Let me know, what you need to know, specifically.
 
Thanks cmjorn! That certainly helps. I didn't know about the going back after a week. Thanks again! I will keep you posted if anything has changed in case you need another iEAD (hopefully, you will get approved by then)

Oh, one question... is there a line? Do I have to be there at 4am like the folks at San Francisco?

We both have our green cards/approvals.

You can go anytime between 9am and 2:30pm. There is always a line inside. The outside line depends on the time of the day and the day of the week(usually 0-10 people). If you plan to take the day off(you should), then go there anytime after 9am. They will take you in until 2:30pm. If you reach there at 9am, you should be out by 3pm.

When you go a week later to pick up the iEAD(you will be given 7:30am appointment), you will be out by 8am max.
