iEAD expiring, EAD RFE not recd., I-485 pending

EAD RFE was issued for my wife her iEAD expires in little more than 3 months. We did not receive the RFE due to change of address. We have been sending Fax inquires and finally we got a letter from INS stating that EAD RFE will be resent yesterday. Should we apply again for EAD, so that she can get an iEAD in 3 months or should we wait for the EAD RFE.
 
We applied for I-485 in June and file has not been assigned to an officer yet.
 
Your Suggestions please, Please let me know if anyone is in the same boat.
