iEAD expired and EAD pending from one year

Hello Everyone

My wifes iEAD card expired last week, while her EAD is still pending from almost one year. Since she will be starting her new job in one week, what are her options

1) Could she go to local BCIS(INS) office and request for another iEAD card.

2) or she needs to wait now till she gets her EAD card?

Really appreciate help in this regard.

Please help.

90 days

If you have a receipt date for the EAD more than 90 days ago, you can walk in and get a temporary EAD right away. But why is it taking one year to get the EAD? I am surprised.
