HELP!! iEAD at Santa Ana

This morning around 8:30, I went to santa ana ins for iEAD. Last year I went at the same time and there wasnt any big queue. But today I found a long queue.
Has anyone went to santaana recently for iead. Whats the best time to go there. I am planning to try tomorrow again. My EAD is expiring on July 15th.

And also, how about LA office or San Bernardino office. Do u think the wait time will be less there.

RD for EAD renewal: Mar 27th.
WAC-03-1325xxxx
RFE: for I-140 (in june)
Online status says, RFE received on June 24th.

Thanks

Got IEAD without Receipt in Santa Ana
I went to the office at 4:00 AM, Parked under the bldg, and there were around 25-30 people before me.

For people who are worried about restrooms or morning coffee there is a starbucks just opposite.

At 7:00 the people started getting in and we all went to the 7th floor.

There I gave the 485 + 140 receipt notice and told him that I have come for the IEAD. He asked for the receipt and I told him I did not receive the receipt and showed the copy of the cheque. He was very nice and wrote the WAC# and asked me to go to the fifth floor. Please do fill the i-765 application and take it with you. I also took a copy of the RFE the lawyer has mailed to INS. I also showed the fax copy to the officer so he did not ask any questions.

At 8:30 I was at 5th floor and they asked for the documents and I showed the cheque receipt, they took the old EAD and asked to wait for the photograph.

This process took a little time and I was out by 11:15 with the I-EAD valid for 8 months.

Anyhow I would like to thank everyone in this Forum because I followed all your suggestions and took the appropriate documents so did not have any problem.

Yes it is a token system. Well I went at 4:00 AM because I do not want to take a chance and want to get it done today.

FYI, the people who was standing behind me told me that they came for the past 2 days at 7:00 AM and by the time they came near the security came out and told that tickets are done.

When I came out at 11:00 am people were still waiting outside ...

As you know each day is different.

Thanks Ghost-rider..

I just didnt try after seeing the line. Had I waited there, I would have wasted entired day without knowing whether I will get the token or not.

San Bernandino

I would prefer to go to San Bernardino. The wait time there is very less. If you are able to reach there by 6.00 - 6.30 you'll be the first person in the queue probably.
