i94 still valid?

I'm currently on a TN visa. The last time I entered the country the immigration officer put "E2" on my i94 instead of "TN". However he still filled the back out with the address of my current employer as required for TN. I am now filling for a green card through my spouse. Do I need to go back to an immigration officer and get this fixed or just send copies of my current i94 and hope for the best?

To avoid complications with USCIS, try to get it changed by CBP before filing the I-485: https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/818/kw/correct form i-94
