I94 and DS2019 marked D/S

Can anyone confirm the meaning of my I94 and DS2019 being marked D/S?
Does this just allow the 30 extra days or does it mean I can apply for an adjustment of status, for instance, in the waiting period between J1 and H1B?

Even my I-94 says D/S. As Diaperchange mentioned it just means that you get 30 days grace period.
