I751 - removal of conditions, moving to a different state

Hi, my wife and I live in Phoenix and we applied to the CA service center for removal of conditions on her CR1 in Sept 2012. We have done the biometric scan and we are awaiting further information from USCIS.

1. The case status constantly shows initial review. Is there another way to find out the status
2. In case my wife gets a job in a different state while the process is ongoing, is a need to notify the USCIS of any change of address as I would still be in Phoenix while she is working in a different state.
3. Will change of address in anyway delay or jeopardize the processing of the application.
3. Any information on the time it takes for the CA service center to process this type of application?
4. Is there a necessity to get an I551 stamp on her passport? Can someone clarify what this is?

Appreciate your responses.

Thanks

1. If the receipt number shown on the receipt notice for the I-751 is tracked through the USCIS online case status, an error message will appear. The correct receipt number for an I-751 is listed on the I-751 biometrics notice.
2.Yes USCIS should be informed. Could be done online filing AR-11 form.
4.Since 10 year green card has not been issued you may have problems while traveling. So a stamp would be proof for your case pending.

It is the temporary equivalent of a green card, valid for a few months to a year.

However it will not be necessary in your situation because USCIS sent you a document that extends the validity of the green card for a year. The expired green card combined with that extension document can be used for travel or employment.

Thanks all for your responses. We are concerned that changing address while the I751 case is pending will cause the process to delay or be jeopardized. My spouse has got a job offer in Seattle but we are now in Phoenix. We have given our address in Phoenix in our I751. Any advice on this is greatly appreciated.

Is it a permanent job for which she will relocate? Or is it just a fixed-length project during which you will continue to maintain the Phoenix address, and she will return to Phoenix after completion of the project? If it's just a specific project or temp contract, and you're keeping the Phoenix residence, it's not necessary to change the address for the I-751.

The job is a permanent job. We have already gone through the finger printing process for I751 but have not got the green card yet. If my spouse would like to take up the job while this is pending, would she have to apply for a change of address. If so, would this cause any delays or jeopardize the application?

What documents are required for 1551 stamp on passport after receipt of NOA on I751? Could someone advise with the needed documentation for the same ?

No green card whatsoever, or just no 10 year card? The expired 2-year card can be used together with the extension notice (which you must have received by now given that fingerprinting has been done), so the I-551 stamp is unnecessary unless she doesn't have the 2-year card.

Yes, once she moves into a non-temporary residence in the city/state where the job exists, or no longer has access to your current address, she'll have to file a change of address.

If so, would this cause any delays or jeopardize the application?
They might send an important document like an interview notice to the old address, even though the address change was requested. So if you have moved out of the old address you might not receive it, and that would jeopardize or delay the application.
