i751 , letter from my wife?

does my wife need to write or type a letter explaining the situation etc.. ? reading the original pdf with instructions i do not see any "cover letter" required.

we're about to send this thing full of pictures , receipts, lease paperwork, and birth cert. of our baby.

oh and the affidavits, are they really important? because I don't know of anybody who can do this, who can do this? a family member? a neighbor? what If I don't send these???

and regarding the mailing process, is it better to use UPS or just regular us mail ? My GC will expire in 90 days from today, I will be mailing all this stuff in 2 days(next bussiness day)

Not necessary i.e. the letter and affidavits. You have a child together, nothing to worry about.

A cover letter is not required, but it can be useful to include a cover letter that lists all the items of evidence. Either of you can write the letter. The letter doesn't have to plead your case or explain anything, just have it list the items.

Affidavits are for people whose other evidence is weak. Don't bother to send them, because your other evidence is solid including the baby's birth cert. But keep them for the interview in case you are interviewed.

Don't send a large volume of pictures. Pick out 5 or 6 pictures that make your case the strongest, such as pictures of the two of you at a famous landmark, or at a large family gathering.

You should send it with something that includes tracking. US mail has options for that, like Priority Mail with delivery confirmation which is cheaper than UPS or Fedex.
