I have filed to remove my conditions on my Green Card in March 2, 2006. I got back an I-797 with reciept date of March 10th 2006 extending my GC for one year.

I have visited the USCIS website and found that they are now processing applications for May 2nd, 2006 and I still cannot get a response as to the status of my case wether it is approved or denied. I even tried the 1800 number and still noone can give me any information.

Can someone help me with some information or point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Well, same thing happened to me... It took them 12,5 months to approve my case. The processign dates on the USCIS website are ballshit, so don't take 'em seriously. At this point all you can do is wait for your approval, and don't panic. You can also file an inquiry about your case, or go to infopass... Most likely they will tell you that your application is still pending, and once again, they will notify you as soon as processing is complete...
I-751 is not a priority application like I-485 or N-400, so USCIS works very slow on these cases. If you eligible to apply for naturalization — go for it. Either way, I belive you'll get your approval very soon.
Best of luck.

If you got a letter from USCIS extending your card for another year is a std operating procedures from USCIS. It generally buys them time to examine whatever you have submitted and make a decision later within the year which they have had the time review them. If I were you, will rest and enjoy my life. A friend of mine was in your situation, and receive the same notice from USCIS. Within a year, got called for an interview and approved for his 10 year card. If you are fortunate, then you will just get a new card in the mail without an interview, so don't sweat...

I must agree. Different service centers have their own different procedures. some you get response from, some you don't. Guess after 2 months, I finally got a NOA extending my GC and also a request for biometrics. After I do that, i will be sitting down waiting until someone pick my file up again, continue processing.

All we can do is just hang in there and share our stories with each other while we wait....
