Hello,

I am confused about the terminology of NOAs. I have a pending I-751. I received my biometrics letter first which had an application number EAC......
Since I never received the letter which extended my GC expiration date with 1 yr and my employer requested it, I had to call the 1 800 number and they told me my receipt number was a whole different EAC number. I asked them to resend the letter for the extension of my stay and when I received it indeed it did have a different EAC #. SO, can anyone please help clarify what the difference between the application number (from the bio appnt letter) and the receipt number (from receipt notice letter) is. Shouldn't these be the same?

NOA1 = 1 y extention letter has one number EAC* or WAC*
NOA2 = FP notice, has a different number, use this number to check your status online.
All these notices from them will have the same A number, which is your GC (imigrant visa) number
