My i601 just got denied. I filed i601 along with my i485 for my adjustment of status here in the U.S last year, i130 has been approved but my i601 for a conviction of receiving stolen goods in 2002 was just denied.
I don't want to appeal it to the AAO for time purposes. My lawyer prefers to go to court for an adjustment of status and frankly I do too.
I have not been put into removal proceedings yet, how can I fasten that process so that I can make sure that I get a Notice to Appear or be put in proceedings ASAP? My EAD expires in september and I want to make sure that I have filed my AOS by that time.
Please advise.
