I485 without a case number

Hi: all
I am a USC, trying to get my dad the GC.
My dad came to US to B2 visa 6/2002
we filed I130 in 6/2002, and got a visa number by 9/2002
The we filed I485 by 9/2002, all we got back is a receite that they took the $255 application fee, But we don't have a case number for I485 (we did have one for the I130)

Should I be worried about the missing case number for I485 ?

Hello,

I have also applied for GC and received I-485 notice that my application has been received with the money. There is not any receipt of confirmation number on my letter also. The whole package was mailed to SF Office. I contacted imm. officer and asked him why my letter doesn't contain any receipt or confirm. number and he said that not all papers contain that. Only those letters sent to the main immigration centers contain receipt number. But he asked me when I sent it and then he told me approx. how long would it take to get a GC.
