Hi, there. I would appreciate that if somebody can give me some advice on the following situation, especially someone has similar experience.
I got my self-petitioned I-140 approved based on NIW from VSC in Nov., 1999, when I was a graduate student. Unfortunately, INS put my university as the sponsor for my case on the 140 approval notice although it was a self-petition case. At that time I followed someone\'s advice to file I-485 right away with the I-140 notice. And at the same time I filed an I-824 to INS, requesting for the correction on my I-140. I recently received the corrected I-140 from INS. I am not sure not to do right now. I guess two possible situations may happen: I will just receive my 485 approval without any problem, OR I will be requested for an interview or some sort of further information. in the latter case, since I have left the university, INS might think I have left my sponsor based on the original I-140 and therefore reject my 485.
Should I submit INS the corrected I-140 appending to my 485 case ? How and what form should I use ? Or should I just wait to see what happen and may submit the corrected I-140 as INS requests for anything further ? What would the worse scenario in this case ?
Please help. Thank you very much.
