I485 with EAD

My lawyer sent 485 with EAD on April 1/01. Haven\'t got anythng back, lawyer said they don\'t get reciepts. Someone told me I should phone Seattle INS to see if they recieved it. They have no phone number. Anyone got any advice? I gotta get my EAD to start working. Should I have heard something by now?
