I just found out that my attorney has received the packet 3 from the NVC. This is because I specified CP on my I-140 application. I have however filed for AOS through I-485 and have had my fingerprints done already. Below are some details:

Can anyone advice whether it is worth abandoning the I-485 application to pursue CP? I know that getting an appointment at the consulate in my country is only a couple of months. Are there any intermediate steps required for CP?
