I filed a I485 at the VSC, RD 11/28/2000. I got a letter on 12/19/2000 saying that the initial processing was complete, and that it had been transferred to the NYC local office. I subsequently went for FP on 6/6/2001. I am a little worried, as I can\'t seem to find out ANYTHING about the NYC local office (26 Federal Plaza). The phone number for them given by the VSC has been disconnected (212-206-6500).
Does anyone have any experience of NYC local office, 26 Federal Plaza?
Also, does this mean that all the tracking I see of the VSC does not apply to me? How would I speak to an "IIO" to get help?
