My case has been transferred to Local Office in Boston for Interview. Got the interview letter and it's scheduled on 7th April 2004.

My case is a AC21 case (> 180days). Got a RFE in Oct. 2003 for EVL and replied to it in Nov.2003. Case transferred to Local office in Dec.2003 and Got the Interview letter in Jan.2003.

Interview letter was addressed to me. It's not mentioned in the letter to bring my spouse for the interview. My question is:

1) Will my spouse get a separate interview letter or can we appear together. She is dependent and she does not work - though she has valid EAD/AP.

The letter did not specifically mention why it was transferred to local office but they asked to bring the following:
a) All Original documents
b) Passport
c) I-94
d) Medical Examination report (if not submitted previously)
e) Documents of your qualification for Permanent Residence
f) If the petition is employment based bring updated offer letter from petitioner who filed your case.

My questions are:
2) For (a) All originals - what are the documents I should take with me?
3) For (d) I submitted the medical examination report when I filled I485. Should I do medical again for interview?
4) For (e) what documents I should take with me - I assume it should be I140, I485 original receipts, and EAD and AP. Anything else? should I take 750A/B also I have only copy of these?
5) For (f) my case is AC21(>180), I replied to RFE with current employment letter. Should I get an updated letter from current employer when I go for the interview?

Other concerns I have is - My 2nd EAD expires in end June 2004 and 2nd AP expires in mid-July 2004. Should I renew EAD/AP some time in Feb/Mar 2004. By GOD's grace if everything goes well in the interview on 7th April 2004, I will get it stamped. But I have been reading reports that even after the interview, the stamping is delayed due to back ground checks, Visa no. not available and other reasons.

6) So to be on safe side, should I go ahead and renew the EAD/AP in Feb./Mar. 2004? Please advice?

7) Those who attended Interview in Boston, Please post your experience or point me to the links on this board.

Thanks

It is taking 5 months for VSC renewals, its worth applying for EAD rather than having problems with your employer at a later stage! Unless you still hold an H1-B visa, you should go for it!
