Anybody in this situation? Please suggest.
What is VSC's current processing schedule now?
Another q:
I really can not stand my current employer.
Is it safe to change job now? I am doing neurology research now? What does the "same job" mean? Can i change to other areas of medical research, such as Gastroenterology, cancer research, as long as they belong to medical research? Or I must stay in neurology research? How to interpret the "same job" definition?
I got my EAD and I still have my H-1. My wife already use AP, but I did not use AP. So, MY h1 still effective, right? If I want to change to another job, should I ask new employer to apply H-1 for me or Can i Just use EAD? Which one is better?

Well official date of VSC is 12/03/01.

Basically they are working on Dec 2001 RD cases, which means it's your month, and you should be hearing from them very soon..
so just hang around and hope it comes in the next one month.

It's safe to change jobs after 180days of filing I485, using AC21 but you wouldn't want your case[being so close to approval] to be disrupted[RFE,local transfer] due to AR11 or AC21...!

If you haven't used your EAD, you are still on H1.

You can join the new employer using the EAD, and there's no need for the new employer to transfer your H1 as ur GC is close to approval..

be careful, before changing jobs be sure that the job requirements on the labor certification do not list psecial skills required for example elctrophysiology or neuropathology etc, specific to neurology. The listed educationa and skills should be broad enough to transfer to GI research.

I will advice you to wait some more time, you are so close that you may hear something this week or next week...
In short, some how tolerate your current employer for a month or so and then you will be free to move without any problem...

Why the hell you want to change employer now? You are so close.
If you are lucky you might approved in this week itself. Hang on.
Why to invite all the troubles by changing employer, unless if it is a must situation.

Tolerate those idiots or pigs for time being, whatever you call.
