I485&I765
I have recieved ASC appointment notice on 8/20/07, my fingersprint and biometric have been taken on 9/14/07.. i can check the status of my I765 but i cant for my I485, i put the number correctly and have a receipt number but it says invalid or fails !!! I765 status is recieved and pending could be the reason that i cant check status of I485 they have not made decision of my I765 yet? anyone have been thro the same situation or ever faced such misrable issue or have such dates with no updating???
any feedback will be appreciated...:confused:

I don't think that the ability to see I-485 updates are related to your I-765. Have you tried both "Finding the Status of Your Case" and "Create/Edit customer portfolio account" to see if it's a weird bug? You can also try calling customer service to get the same information.

In any case, there's not much you'll see on the I-485 updates. If you had gotten an RFE you'd see "case resumed" after you send the RFE. You won't get an update informing you of your interview letter, and after your I-485 is approved you get a couple updates and a welcome email. Not the most exciting thing to look at.

well, last update on I765 was Nov/14. yes i recieved a RFE 3 weeks ago so i sent it that was W2 for my wise she's USC, since that date i have not recieved any updates on my case. are you saying that im not going to get any updates till i recieve a sudden letter which will be an interview letter ? what about my I765? which approval i might recieve first?
 
Let me understand, you can't access the updates or have not received any (for I-485) ... the RFE would have been an I-485 update, correct, since I assume it's I-864 related, part of the I-485 initial evidence.

For the I-765 you should get at some point, around 3 months into the process, an update that it's been approved and card production was ordered. For the I-485, yes, suddenly and unannounced you'll receive an interview letter one day. It varies when the IL is sent for I-485, depending on district office etc., but the law mandates the USCIS to process the I-765 within 90 days. You can review various immigration trackers online to see if people with similar receipt dates at the same DO are starting to receive interview letters.
 
all i recieved since this process has began is 2 notices of actions (I797) for both cases ( I765&I485) later i recieved a ASC appointment notice which allowed me to go into Biometric im attaching dates down

ASC notice date for both cases I765&I485 is Aug,20,07 on this notice they have scheduled sept,14,2007 to do biometric , i went to chicago at that date and got fingersprint signature and photos done.
i have registered at USCIS website so i can recieve updating emails on my case, till this date i can check only the status of I765 , it says recieved and pending and last update was on Nov,14.., whenever i try to add my I485 application number into portfolio account or go into check status online they say :
Case Status Retrieval Failed
This Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center.
