I485 RFE (Medical) dependent and AP relation

we received the RFE for AP and USCIS received the response on June 9th. Its been a almost a month now we did not received the approval. There is also a RFE for my wife's medical for 485. I had the travel plan for this week and I think I may have to change or get the stamping before returning.
Q:
Does the RFE on dependent 485 application hold the AP? Sound weird but wanted to confirm.
