I filed my i485 petition on july 27 2007 to NSC. I submitted a counter cheque for the i485. Uscis sent it back on sep 20 2007 stating that they will not accept the counter cheque(this is a hand written cheque given by the bank ). My attorney submitted the application again with 2 cheques one having the old fee and one with the new fees to Nebraska Service Center. NSC transferred my case to Texas Service Center and Texas Service Center rejected my case stating that it does not have the priority date for the I485 on Oct 22. My attorney resent the papers with the explanation of when it was initially filed and why it was resent. anybody had a similar experience with the wrong cheques. Can you share your experiences.
