i485 receipt

hello everyone, my 1485 was filied in jan 2002, fp in march, ead in april, but have not received the receipt for tracking the i485, spoke to my lawyer he said it is kind of normal , sometime they dont issue a receipt, was wondering is it really a normal thing, i have the receipt date,notice date, and the priority date on the fp notice i had received, but no actual receipt for the 1485, have you heard or such thing before, please let me know.

I think you should have a receipt
for your 485 application

I suggest you to call the INS to find out if you have to...

I agree with that .. rect is very important for several other purposes also, you/ attorney needs to call INS .. in anycase you can call INS (802-5274913) give you details (EAD, A#) and they will tell if you over the phone and request a duplicate one

For tracking purpose the receipt is very important. Try to obtain a copy of the receipt ASAP.
