I485 pending for long time

Hi All,
Could you please let me know why my 485 case is still pending for this long:

RD : 11/08/2002
ND : 12/15/2002
FP1: 01/15/2003
FP2: 07/5/2004
Opened inquiry twice since 10/1/04- no decision/communication from INS on my case yet. Not sure what is going on with my case.
Hasen't changed employer or Address since filing 485.

Do I need to contact FBI for fingure-printing/security-clearence. Can you send me their contact numbers?.

5 Collegues who file with me on the same day have already gotten their GC approved in 11/04, except for me.

Really need some advise here.

FBI name check

It should be FBI name check delay. My I-485 ND was 9/11/02, three months before your ND, and just got approved 3/16/05.

The FBI emailed me saying that my name check was finished on 2/24/05, then within less than a month my I-485 was approved.

I asked congressman and senators to help but they said security checks cannot be expedited.

Good luck and be patient.
