I485 pending for 17months, laid off, rfe issued after lay off

hello ,
Its more than 17 months since I applied for I 485. . Got laid off this month, and a rfe as issued the very next day by NSC after my lay off. Rfe was for job confirmation letter. Please advice for any options. Thankyou.

Talk to your boss and make him understand your situation. If you have vacation time left, the boss still (if he is willing) can said you have that position by the time he writes the letter. It so close, hope you can work that out. Wish you the best!
 
I changed job using AC21 after being with my employer for 1 year.

You get a new job and submit a copy of AC21 and letter from your new employer. Make sure that the new occupation is same as before.( Meaning if you were Software Engineer, then the new occupation MUST be the same as well). There should not be any problem. You are covered by AC21, sec 106(c). Good luck.
Consult your attorney as well.
