I485 pending at WSC

I have a pending I 485 (marriage to US Citizen) application at WSC. Online status shows that my application was received at WSC on Oct 26 2005. I had my fingerprints done on 12-30-2005. USCIS website does not show any current processing dates for I 485 (Marriage based) at California service center. But it shows I 485 (Employement based) has a current processing date of December 2005. Should I consider that the processing date in my case is same as that of I 485 (employment based) or marriage based I 485 has a different processing date.

If anyone is going through or have gone through the same experience please advise in detail as to what is the best course of action.

What is WSC?

Also, family-based I-485 are processed by DOs and not SCs....

What's your District Office?
 
Following up on Sarrabal's question, why did you apply for the family based AOS in CSC?

WSC numbers are one of those generated at CSC.

For the case status date of marriage based I-485, please look at your DO, not the Service Center.

I initially applied in NYC in Nov 2002. I was interviewed in June 2005 in NYC Federal Plaza. After the interview my case was sent to WSC ( I think its short for western service center that is California service center) I received a notice of action in Nov 05 which has my receipt number begining with WAC and the envelope had post mark from california also according to the notice of action my service center is WSC. I dont know why my case was transferred there. I had my FP taken in Dec 05. My online status says that my case was received at WSC on 10-26-2005 and my case is pending. any Idea as to what is going on???
 
I think you need to tell us more. Do you live in NYC area? If that is the case, I see no reason why they would send your case to California after interviewing you. What did the officer that interviewed you tell you? How come they didn't fingerprint you at your interview if you hadn't done that already? How come it took you 3 years to get the interview? You probably want to set up an infopass appointment at your DO and find out what is going on.
 
yes SGS I live in New york city. My port of entry was LA. I was on H1B and I got married to a USC before my H1B expired. Applied in Nov 2002 in NYC Distric Office. My interview was held in NYC Federal Plaza too. and after the interview I got this letter from California Service Center asking me to appear for FP in Brooklyn ASC. Which I did in time. I have had several meetings with immigration officers but all they say is "You have to wait"

any suggestions?
 
This sounds ridiculous from USCIS. I don't understand why in the world they would send your application to California after interviewing at NY. So infopass doesn't seem to work? I think you should get the help of some Senator/Congressman in your area. Go for Hillary Clinton. She/her office is supposed to be very helpful when dealing with Federal government. Good luck!
 
Does anyone else has a pending or approved I 485 case with NYC Federal Plaza who applied around November 2002. Or anyone who has an approved case and applied after 2002. Please post your progress dates so that I can compare my case to your cases.
