I485 Hell.. Please help..

Hi All,
I am new to this forum and hoping to get some info. When I check the status of my case I get the following message...

On May 2, 2004, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made.

I am very confused and desperate. Does the message indicate that I am stuck in the dreaded FBI name check or does it mean the INS is just holding up my case. Or is it a generic message that the system spits out? Please share if you have the same experiance..

It's generic. Everybody gets it after having Biometrics done. You are not stuck anywhere yet :) The officer will be able to tell you at the time of the interview if FBI check has been completd or still pending.

I already had my interview on July of 2004. That is why I am worried. Any suggestions???

You should start thinking about a lawsuit. You could get it cleared up w/n 2 months of filing. If you dont want to pay for a lawyer you can do it yourself; check the writ of mandamus threads.
