Guys,

There is no such kind of Thread in this forum which leads most of new members (even old members) to ask the same questions again and again that were already replied in old threads.

Moderator: Please stick this post on the top so that this would be visible to all of the members who are looking to find answers to there questions regarding I485.

Gurus: Please help all of us by replying to this post with the most common question/answers that can be asked by a new/old member at each and every stage of I485 process.

Please be kind to me as I am starting this cos I don't find this anywhere here.

Thanks,

Sam

I personaly like the idea of F.A.Q.

sam012007 is absolutelly right - people ask the same questions many times. If we had the F.A.Q. sections they wouldn't have to wait for others to reply to their quiestions.

There is already a general FAQ on the forum, just not this one. Wouldn't this be slightly redundant? Is there specific VSC issues that differ than all other processing center issues? Should we then do FAQs for each forum? Each district center?

Don't like the idea. Keep it centralized.

Dear Milko, I am agree to what you've specified, but there are people who comes directly to this forum and don't bother to go and check the centralized FAQ forums, and I thought it would be a good idea to give them this information in this forum.

In general if you go to any forum on the net, you will see the FAQ for that forum. No offense to anybody.

OK, none taken. I mean, most of us are in the IT field, but in spite of that, we should be able to find the FAQ, even if it is not on the same page. :)

I just verified the FAQ thread that you were talking about,
its a forum not a thread, again in a forum you can ask questions and people can give you answers but in this thread people just go through this thread and find all there answers at one place. Thats a difference.

Go ahead and verify this please.

I would appreciate if you could post some of the FAQ to this thread to make it useful to all of us.

FAQ

All,

There is a lot of redundancy in the Q&A sessions. People just DO NOT BOTHER to do a basic research on their own FIRST, even within the same thread, or even the same page of the thread! take a look at the current page at any particular time and you will see a few FP threads and a few EAD and a few AP posts, all repeated over and over. More precisely, everybody's question becomes a new thread. (I will post this in the suggestions also).

Here what people can do:
1: Search the FAQ available (see my list as an example). If your answers are not found, THEN
2: post within an existing thread for an answer.

This will help all and upgrade the site.

Please do not start redundant FAQ threads. There is already an important thread 'Dedicated Link for Important Information' on the top. You can add information here. Also we have '485-FAQ' forum.
