Spoke to an IIO after a long time this morning...at the 214 #. Was surprised to hear an English accent in Texas ! The lady was nice and way better than most of the rude IIOs.

Summary:
1. TSC is processing Nov 00
2. Approx wait @ 9 months
3. Same for wife
4. Saw no problems

I politely talked about the irregularities in TSC... 2002 guys apporved before 2000 or 2001...

4. IIO has not seen any evidence of such irregularity
5. Asked for SRC #s
6. Towards the end she told me that TSC is speeding up and I should check within 4 months

The good things atleast you got to talk to nice IIO. The bad things (you probably already know this but)
On your points
2) She probably was going by the 900-999 day message that TSC has put out.
4) Here is some evidence – so TSC seems to be doing something
SRC02104* Approved 5/7/2003 Approved/Completed
SRC02104* Approved 5/7/2003 Approved/Completed
SRC02104* Approved 5/7/2003 Approved/Completed

SRC02104* Approved 5/6/2003 Approved/Completed
SRC02104* Approved 5/6/2003 Approved/Completed
SRC02104* Approved 4/24/2003 Approved/Completed
SRC02104* Card ordered 4/23/2003 Approved/Completed
SRC02176* Approved 5/8/2003 Approved/Completed
SRC02176* Approved 4/7/2003 Approved/Completed
6) If this is what is called as speeding up, then we folks are in for a long wait.

just wondering whether these people (and the director of TSC or whoever is responsible) really don't know whats going on or whether they know about it and they don't care thinking no one could question them. don't these people have conscience? just for argument, if they have a law saying we will give only 1 GC per year then at least we know it is their country and they can make whatever law. BUT, this is work, we paid a specific fee to do a certain [lawful] job and they get salary for doing that. so they should be doing that. it is somewhat ok if they atleast process the files in order but random processing is irritating. atleast they have to work for the money they are getting paid.

just wondering, what would they accept as proof that they are doing random processing.

I think the IIOs are following instructions from their superiors and are perhaps frsutrated themselves with us calling regarding the irregularities...

The truth of the matter is there are no attorney's out there with a conscience to serve their clients better... else, we would have seen them or AILA take up this issue with the BCIS. They are just collecting their fees from clients..more of para-legals than attorneys.

As for 2001 ..especially those from Apr - Aug, all our cases have fallen through the cracks and am sure that it will take a long time for them to get apporved...may be after the 2002 and 2003s !!

Please don't hurt 2002 filers

Hi, Guys,

Don't do like that. Now matter what year cases got approved, it should be good to every folk in this forum. If you guys just care about your cases (I assume your case year 2001, same as mine) selfishly, probably you will hurt 2002 filers eventually. Yes, irregularities are fact, but that your guys' FPs are earlier than some folks else is also a fact. What do you want to do? Now we should take our efforts to push TSC move forward, not to affect TSC processing of 2002 cases. Tru, please don't list SRS case numbers like that. It is improper and impolite.

BlameTSC

Agreed I changed the case numbers. Like you said. We are in the same boat. We should compare against VSC/NSC and the likes and not amongst folks within TSC.

BlameTSC,

Its not meant to hurt any 2002 filers. We are just mortals and not God. I would say that no body will hope and pray that any 2002 or 2003 filers should not get their approval. But people will
get depressed after waiting for a long time. (In my case, I started the whole GC process in 98).
So, if TSC is processing in chronological order, we can at least hope and expect that the approval will be within 6 months or 1 year and so on...

I agree with Plastic Card.

Also I blame TSC for creating this mess by approving some cases (files in 2002) which definitely frustrates the folks in 2001. I 'm not hurting any one here, but expressing furstration on TSC
in-efficiency.

plasticcard,

The purpose we are striving for is to make TSC more efficient, not to complain why TSC approved 2002 rather than 2001. We all know we are so depressed after waiting for a long time, but it was TSC fault. I'm afraid of that if messed by our complain, TSC will not only postpone processing of 2002 cases, but reassign its internal source which may cause bigger chaos. Now that TSC has speeded processing since the beginning of May, let be patient to wait for our FP and final approval.

I still don't have FP notice, but if TSC could improve its efficiency, I would see we all would get approved in the near future.

I understand your point. All I am saying is: its natural to feel some pain deep inside when u see that the cases with later dates are approving and u are still waiting!! Anyway as tru said we are striving for TSC efficiency.

I personally think that you should talk to some IIO about your FP notice before the number being discontinued. (If you haven't received any FP notices at all...not first FP expiration)
