Our interview went very well. In all we were there for 1 hour. Our interview was at 1:30pm. We got there about 1:10. Sat down for about 40 minutes before our name was called. The Officer swore us in verified our information, where we lived etc, also asked all the NO questions.
Asked us if we've met each other's parents to which we both answered Yes! Asked for our 2006 tax returns which we had with us. He complained that my Doctor hadn't given me the TB skin test and he has had many of this same thing from this Doctor.
He then asked us for proof of a shared life, which we already had a file in hand, which contained our house deed showning both our names, my name on my husband's health insurance, shared names on car, joint checking account and a letter from our pastor. The officer said he didn't need to see another thing that he was happy we were so well prepared with our documents. We had many other proof that we never got to show like wedding photoablums as well as two other albums of trips we had taken before our wedding, card to each other, e-mails we exchanged and so much more (didn't even ask for them..well at least we were prepared!)
He double checked my information and said that the name check was complete and that I looks likehad been a good girl. Then he said, to our surprise " Looks like I'm actually going to have an approval today, you might be one of the few I will approve today". He congratulated us and we were out the door. We were leaving at 2:15. Not too long after though I got a call on my cell from the officer that he forgot to give me the necessary paperwork to get the TB skin test and that he was mailing it out to me so I can mail it back. I had the TB skin test done that day and mailed back two days later, it arrived at the atlanta DO on Monday June 18th according to USPS. I'm kinda mad about that TB skin test that my Doctor should have done in the first place, so I would not have a delay in getting my GC. But I'm now waiting for some word from them about my GC
