I-485 filed August 2001 (WAC01-290-5xxxx)
FP done March 2002 (Will expire in a month or so)

Since FP is about to expire, I decided to send fax inquiries by myself.

Fax inquiry sent March 8 using the 2002 format.
No response for 3 weeks.
Fax Inquiry sent April 8, 2003 using the newer 2003 format.
Fax answered April 21, 2003
Hand-written answer says:
"Case will be forwarded to Adjudication".
No BCIS officer signature, no date.

Not very informative, but at least the file is still there.

me too

Hi HR04, I too received the same "Case will be forwarded to Adjudication." response in the last week of March. This "will be" renders the whole response useless.

This time, you should send the inquiry with a questin? "When will the case be assigned?"

Good luck.

Actually, we got an RFE in November 2002.
My child needed to do fingerprinting because of age.
We did all that in December 2002.

Because of this RFE, I was under the impression
that the files were submitted for adjudication at that time.
With this fax answer, I do not know any more.

My conclusion: fax inquiry is not much better than phone inquiry
in terms of the value of the information you get (At least first-
level fax inquiry).

Hi I485andI824,
yes we did receive normal RFE (EVL, pay-stubs, Tax-returns). Here are details-

RFE issued : 11/02
RFE received : 12/02

WAC 01 297 5xxxxx

Thanks a log for the information.

Since my fingerprint will expire soon. So, can I ask you two questions?

I was told that fingerprint result will expire in 15 month. my case on-line status says that "the fingerprint result was received on May 2002" and we did the fingerprint on April. Is that true that we should count the date based on May, 2002?

And what is format 2003? Where can I get that format?

Thanks a lot. Good luck to your case.

Attorney uvach- Finger-prints do not necessarily expire for "active" cases.

Don't ask me how do you say which case is an active case. Certainly mine is one of them as long as I do not receive FP Notice. :) :D
